Das Buch „Was ich von Darwin über das Investieren gelernt habe“ hat mich vor allem deshalb angesprochen, weil es einen ungewöhnlichen Zugang zur Geldanlage bietet. Statt trockener Fachbegriffe wie DCF-Modell oder Volatilität setzt Pulak Prasad auf Bilder aus der Natur, die vieles greifbarer machen.

Besonders eindrücklich fand ich die tierischen Metaphern: Hummeln stehen für das Vermeiden von Risiken, zahme Füchse helfen dabei, Qualität zu erkennen, und Frösche, die größere Rivalen imitieren, geben Denkanstöße zur Unternehmensethik. Diese Beispiele bleiben im Kopf und machen die Prinzipien verständlich, ohne dass man sich durch komplizierte Finanztheorie arbeiten muss.

Die drei zentralen Mantras – große Risiken vermeiden, hohe Qualität zu einem fairen Preis kaufen und „sehr faul sein“ – wirken auf den ersten Blick simpel, entfalten aber gerade dadurch ihre Stärke. Sie richten sich klar gegen hektisches Handeln und kurzfristiges Denken.

Für mich ist das Buch kein klassischer Investmentratgeber, sondern eher ein ruhiger, langfristig orientierter Kompass. Es eignet sich besonders für Leser, die sich bisher vom Finanzmarkt abgeschreckt gefühlt haben und einen verständlichen Einstieg suchen. The North American F-86 Sabre was the United States’ first swept-wing jet fighter. It was involved in some of the earliest jet v jet dogfights in history, engaging with Soviet Migs in the skies over Korea.
