It assesses recent practice and current challenges, such as the non-ratification of mixed agreements, ensuring parliamentary participation in EU treaty-making, the new architecture for concluding EU trade and investment agreements, as well as the new trade agreement between the EU and the UK post-Brexit. In so doing, the author argues that in the field of trade and investment, mixity is no longer a procedural technique to overcome legal uncertainties about competence allocations between the EU and the Member States. Instead, mixity has become a deliberate substantive design choice. This brings a fresh and innovative perspective to a key tenet of EU external relations law. The North American F-86 Sabre was the United States’ first swept-wing jet fighter. It was involved in some of the earliest jet v jet dogfights in history, engaging with Soviet Migs in the skies over Korea. Although it was developed in the late 1940s and was overtaken by other more modern designs by the end of the 1950s, the Sabre proved versatile and adaptable, and continued as a front-line fighter with numerous air forces. This book charts the origins, design and development of the most iconic British supercar of the 1970s and 1980s – the Aston Martin V8. It traces the car’s origins from the introductory model of 1967, the DBS, through the various iterations of the V8 versions, and ends with the final models of the range and the spectacular Vantage Zagato. While the car started life with Aston Martin’s ageing six-cylinder engine, it quickly received the engine the car was originally designed for; Aston Martin’s mighty quad cam V8.
