Das Palmares Clubhouse ist das Wahrzeichen von Palmares Ocean Living & Golf, einem neuen Resort an der Algarve, das vom Entwickler Kronos Homes unterstützt wird.

Das katalanische Studio RCR Arquitectes, das 2017 mit dem Pritzker-Architekturpreis ausgezeichnet wurde, hat alle Gebäude des Resorts entworfen, einschließlich eines Hotels sowie verschiedener Apartments und Villen.
Das Clubhaus ist das erste Gebäude des Resorts, das fertiggestellt wurde. Als Gebäude, in dem die Gäste zusammenkommen, wurde es so gestaltet, dass es sich sowohl großartig als auch einladend anfühlt. Dies wurde mit einer Form erreicht, die sowohl monumental als auch sehr offen ist.

“The different spaces have their uniqueness and their landscape frameworks that, together with the interstitial outdoor spaces create a unique experience difficult to explain. It is the perfect place to pass the time.”

Die Architekten Olivier Ottevaere und Elsa Caetano von Double (O) Studio haben eine zweistöckige Betonresidenz in Portugal fertiggestellt, die von einem Pool auf dem Dach gekrönt ist. Die Wohnung befindet sich in Aroeira, einem Viertel südlich von Lissabon. Aufgrund ihrer Kleeform wurde sie als „Casa Trevo“ oder „Kleeblatthaus“ bezeichnet. Da sich das Anwesen in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Atlantik befindet, erhält es das ganze Jahr über eine angenehme Brise und reichlich Sonnenschein.

Umgeben von Kiefern auf einem abgelegenen Grundstück besteht das Kleeblatthaus aus Ortbeton und spielt die Mehrdeutigkeit von Masse und Leere aus. “It addresses the site by stepping the ground plane along its natural slope and by bringing that level difference inside”, sagt double (o) studio. “It is anchored into the ground firmly but irregularly around its perimeter vis-à-vis the terrain.”

Intern sind die Räume um drei kreisförmige Außenterrassen angeordnet, die mehrere Funktionen haben. Diese Hohlräume dienen als Erweiterung der Innenräume sowie als Lichtquellen und große Öffnungen für die Wohnbereiche unten und die Schlafbereiche oben. “the nine-meter high patios also perform as main structural voids in the form of three hollowed and semi-open columns”, erklären die Architekten. “together, they support a series of floor slabs ascending at different increments.” Sie sind auch für die Unterstützung des Sportbeckens auf dem Dach des Hauses verantwortlich.

Trotz ihrer geringen Größe sagen die Architekten, dass die Wohnung ein besonderes Gefühl von Autonomie und Monumentalität ausübt. ‘it is unified by concrete on the outside, subverting the perception of its scale, while serving as canvas for a dialogue between nature and architecture to be projected,’ fährt das Designteam fort. ‘it also exudes a solid impression of mass while revealing little of its inside. the house produces its own introverted world facing the sun, with private yet mutable spaces rendered intermittently by lisbon’s brash light.’
